The global economy has experienced an unprecedented condition with the COVID-19 pandemic forcing the adaptation into the new normal. With trade and investment slowly bouncing back from the disruption the way forward is to embrace a collaborative recovery and growth. The B20 Indonesia committee seeks to facilitate the dialogue around how to implement an open, fair, and efficient post-pandemic global trade & investment regime.

The efficiency of such an objective further brings the need to boost an innovative global economy. An innovative approach in trade and investment needs digitization and technology adoption as a way to mitigate the future global crisis.

The post-pandemic future is one that is inclusive and sustainable. B20 Indonesia seeks to amplify support to attain greater inclusivity & sustainability in the global supply and value chain. Trade and investment should be an impactful drivers for a greener and more sustainable development.

Arif Rachmat

(Executive Director of Triputra Group)

Arif Rachmat oversees a private holding company with significant investment in various publicly listed companies including Adaro Energy, TAPG, DSNG, KMTR agriculture groups, ASSA mobility and logistics business, ESSA, LNG and Ammonia, as well as privately-owned companies such as Daya and Dharma Polimetal automotive groups and Family Office.

Mr Rachmat holds leadership roles as the Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) and Indonesia Business Association (APINDO) for Agriculture. He serves as the current Chairman of B20 Task Force “Trade & Investment”, Endeavor Indonesia and Global Agribusiness Alliance (GAA) in 2020. He is an active member of the Board of Trustee of Asia Business Council (ABC), Prasetiya Mulya, Singapore Management University (SMU), The Nature Conservancy Indonesia (YKAN), the Partnership for Indonesia’s Sustainable Agriculture (PISAgro) and Syariah Economic Society (MES). In addition, he is a Board of Advisor in Asia Partners Private Equity.

Dharma Djojonegoro

(CEO Adaro Power)

Dharma is currently the CEO for Adaro Power, one of the largest private IPP in Indonesia with ownership in 2260 MW of power generation assets. In this capacity he holds various leadership positions in the operating companies and is intimately involved in the financial close, construction and operation of over US$ 4.7 billion worth of projects.

Before joining Adaro, Dharma held various leadership positions in the energy sector, including CEO of a mining services company where he led a successful turnaround program, including cultural transformation. 

Prior to that Dharma was in McKinsey & Company where he helped advise multinational companies in the energy and materials sector in various topics from operations to strategy

Dharma is extensively involved in various organizations such as the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (KADIN), Association of Indonesian Power Producer, Endeavor & YPO. 

Dharma holds an MBA degree from INSEAD.
